Silver Slam 2012

The team at Silver work hard together and play hard together. In fact, they think, it doesn't get more challenging that playing a non-stop 24hr tennis match. But when you consider the charities that they are supporting their challenge doesn't seem difficult at all. Please give what you can to support them as they attempt to raise £3,500.00. The slam will take place at Cleeve School over the weekend of 21-22 January 2012.

£2,500.00 for Stepping Stones Nigeria is a UK-based charity with a passion for defending and upholding the rights of children in the Niger Delta region. Their work with Nigerian partner organisations saves and transforms the lives of vulnerable and stigmatised children; provides outstanding levels of education and significantly raises literacy levels ofless privileged children. Through advocacy and campaigning they promote a greater understanding of child rights and aim to prevent the abuse of children today. Their vision is that all children in the Niger Delta have access to their rights and are able to realise their full potential. Through establishing an effective model to uphold child rights in a challenging environment they hope to inspire others in similar circumstances.

It was lovely to hear from Gary Foxcroft, Director of Stepping Stones Nigeria, regarding our tennis slam! 'It is truly fantastic news that you and your team are doing the tennis slam to help raise funds for Stepping Stones Nigeria. Thank you so much for keeping us in mind. It really is very kind of you and much appreciated. I think that this may be the first time that anyone has done a 24hr tennis slam for us.
Sincere thanks and very best wishes to the team'.

It is our pleasure to make a donation to this amazing charity and we are all very excited about the 24 hour Silver Slam!
